Definition
Provisioning creates the organization and invites its first owner, so somebody can sign in and set it up.
What to do
Sign in to the operator console. Two factor is required, so have the authenticator to hand.
Provision the organization with its display name, legal name, address slug, pharmacy code, plan, and the name and address of the person who will own it.
Record a reason. Every operator action that changes a tenant is audited against you, and the reason is what makes the record readable a year later.
The response confirms the organization and gives the date the owner invitation expires.
What the system does
The organization and its first owner are created together, so a tenant never exists with nobody able to sign in to it.
The owner invitation carries an expiry. If it lapses before they accept, it is resent rather than the organization being created again.
The action is written to the tenant audit trail with your operator identity on it. That record cannot be edited afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
What if the address slug or pharmacy code is already taken?
It is refused rather than made unique for you. Both are how people and systems address this organization, so a near miss chosen automatically would be worse than being asked to pick again.
